The innovative construction utilises a windproof and waterproof SPHERE Ultra softshell outer paired with a free-floating heat-trapping thermal body textile on the front, legs, and inside of the hips. This gives you greater freedom of movement on your bike, despite the extra degree of cold weather protection. Not only that, but it’s also highly breathable, maintaining comfort when you need to push on the pedals that bit harder.
The two-layer construction maintains flexibility thanks to only being sewn together along one edge. Not only does it allow more mobility compared to traditional softshell winter tights, but it also means fewer seams, boosting comfort.
Wrap up warm
The SPHERE Ultra softshell is Assos’ most versatile wind- and waterproof softshell. This stormproof membrane repels winter weather beautifully but because it has no insulation itself it’s highly breathable. It’s also perfect for use with the Assos twinDeck construction, utilising ultra-insulating RX Extreme thermal textile to the inside.
Critical areas of the body, most prone to getting cold, are, as mentioned above, lined with Assos’ RX Extreme thermal fabric – their warmest winter textile. A cosy brushed interior traps your body heat while also being breathable and water-repellent.
Elsewhere, highly elastic WINTERFOAM fabric covers your core and lower stomach, creating a breathable, thermoregulating and water-resistant panel to fend off harsh winter weather.
MILLE GTS S11 Seat Pad
Assos’ MILLE GTS S11 Seat Pad features up to 12mm of compressive foam layers to keep you comfortable on the saddle. You also benefit from 3D Waffle technology, a 3-layer patented foam to increase air circulation and breathability.
The goldenGate 2.0 construction allows the seat insert to move with your body while cutouts on the wings reduce pedalling friction in high-wear areas. Lastly, Sundeck Technology brings you an ultrasoft panel at the front, eliminating pressure and allowing for a streamlined fit.
